Arranging a Funeral
If your loved one has passed away and you would like the funeral to take place at St Bernadette's, the undertakers would normally contact the parish to make the arrangements.
A few things to think about include:
Would you like your loved one to be received into the church on the evening prior to the funeral? This is a short, simple service. It allows the body to be in the church in front of the Blessed Sacrament for the night prior to the burial.
Would you like a Funeral Mass or a Funeral Service? If your loved one attended Mass regularly or had Holy Communion at home, please consider having a Funeral Mass, which includes the celebration of the Eucharist to which they were faithful during their lives
The attached booklets include potential readings and hymns for your consideration. Other readings and musical pieces are possible, please speak to Fr Matthew about your wishes
